Part 23: Wilanow

King Jan III Sobieski lived a small ways outside of Poland in a palace called "Wilanow."

Unlike most other palaces in and around Warsaw, this one escaped destruction, although many of the pieces of art were looted and the building was occupied by Nazi troops who destroyed the beautiful wood floors and furniture for firewood.

They have done a remarkable job of redecorating it back to the way it was.

Wilanow has beautiful gardens.  Unfortunately, the gardens are all covered up during the winter.  The interior of the palace is beautifully redecorated, but like most other places in Europe, I can only show you the external view of the palace.
